In the WHM panel, you have to assign a web hosting package to each cPanel account. A web hosting package defines the hosting resource limits and several other account-related settings. It can limit hosting resources, like Domains, subdomains, disk space amount, bandwidth, number of FTP accounts, email accounts, databases, bandwidth, etc. We can also set other account-specific settings like theme, language, CGI access, Shell access, etc. Let’s check the steps to create package for cPanel account.
Steps to create package for cPanel account from the WHM panel
- Login to your WHM panel as root user.
- Under the Packages section, select the Add A Package option.
- Give an appropriate Package Name.
- Set your desired values in the hosting Resources fields.
- Specify your choice of Settings you wish to apply with this hosting package.
- If you have installed Cloud Linux OS, then you can enable LVE Settings and set additional limits like CPU, Memory, IOPS, INODES, MYSQL IO, MYSQL CPU, etc.
- Click the Add button at the bottom of the page to create your package.
Now, you can use this package when you create a cPanel account.
